Carbon
A fascinating material and can be used for demanding applications where maximum strength and minimum weight are required (aircraft, drones, multicopters, motorsports, mechanical engineering, model making, musical instruments, etc.).
CFRP (carbon fiber) offers numerous advantages:
• High strength with minimal weight
• Very low coefficient of thermal expansion
• Vibration dampening (depending on design)
• Highly resistant to chemicals and weathering
• High durability
C-Composites is an established German company with 20 years of experience in the manufacture of composite components and the distribution of high-quality semi-finished products made of fiber composites. In our Carbon-Shop, you will find numerous semi-finished products such as:
- CFRP sheets
- CFRP tubes
- CFRP rods
CFRP, carbon fibre, or carbon fiber? What are the differences? These are simply different names for the same material. CFRP stands for carbon fiber reinforced plastic and is the common and correct name. Carbon is the colloquial name for the same material. Carbon fibre and carbon fiber is only differentiated in British English and American English.
CFRP (Carbon) is a composite material made of carbon fibers and usually a thermoset matrix. The material is characterized by very high strength and very low specific weight. The goal of lightweight
construction with CFRP is to create extremely strong and stiff components with minimal mass. This allows the material to achieve its full potential.
